【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcovershigh-strength,low-alloy,hot-andcold-rolledsheetandstripincutlengthsorcoils,intendedforuseinstructuralandmiscellaneouspurposes,wheresavingsinweightoraddeddurabilityareimportant.Thesesteelshaveenhancedatmosphericcorrosionresistanceandaresuppliedintwotypes:Type2contains0.20%minimumcopperbasedoncastorheatanalysis(0.18%minimumCuforproductcheck).Type4containsadditionalalloyingelementsandprovidesalevelofcorrosionresistancesubstantiallybetterthanthatofcarbonsteelswithorwithoutcopperaddition(Note1).Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,Type4steelcanbeusedbare(unpainted)formanyapplications.Note18212;Formethodsofestablishingtheatmosphericcorrosionresistanceoflow-alloysteels,seeGuideG101.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
