【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtodetectexistingdiscontinuitiesintheglasscoatingofglassedsteelequipmentwhilemaintainingavoltagelowenoughastobeunlikelytocausebreakdownofthecoating.Thetestisadaptableformanufacturinginspectionintheprocessingofequipmentandforfieldusetofindexistingdefectswhichcanbex201C;pluggedx201D;orrepairedbeforeseriousdamageisdonetotheequipment.Asameansofpositivedetection,itisapplicabletoprocessstudies,qualitycontrol,orspecification.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetectionofdiscontinuitiesintheglasscoatingofglassedsteelequipmentwheresuchdiscontinuitieswouldresultinearlyfailureduetotheattackofthechemicalcontentsofthevesselonthemetalsubstrate.Itisapplicableto(1)provideamanufacturingandinspectiontestofglassed-steelequipmentdesignedforrelativelymild,low-temperaturecorrosiveservice,and(2)thefieldtestingofsimilarequipmentusedinmoreseverelycorrosiveenvironment.Note1AmanufacturingtestmethodforthelattertypeofequipmentisdescribedinTestMethodC537.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
