【摘要】:ThisguidecoverstheextensionoffireresistanceratingsobtainedfromfiretestsperformedinaccordancewithTestMethodE119toconstructionsthathavenotbeentested.TestMethodE119evaluatesthedurationforwhichtestspecimenswillcontainafire,retaintheirstandardintegrity,orbothduringapredeterminedtestexposure.Thisguideisbasedonprinciplesinvolvingtheextensionoftestdatausingsimpleconsiderations.Theacceptanceoftheseprinciplesandtheirapplicationisbasedsubstantiallyonananalogousworstcaseproposition.Theseprinciplesareonlyapplicabletotemperatureconditionsrepresentedbythestandardtime-temperaturecurvedescribedinTestMethodE119.TestMethodE119isafire-test-responsestandard.Thetypesofbuildingconstructionswhicharethesubjectofthisguidearecategorizedasfollows:beams;floorandroofassemblies;columns;andwallsandpartitions.Floorandroofassembliesincludesuchassemblieswithceilingprotectivemembranes.Theextensionoftestdatausingnumericalcalculationsbasedonempiricaldataortheoreticalmodelsisnotcoveredinthisguide.Thisguidedoesnotcoverthesubstitutionofoneproprietarymaterialforanotherproprietarymaterial,ormaterialsforwhichfiretestdataarenotpresentlyavailable.Thisguidedoesnotpurporttobecomprehensiveinitstreatmentofnon-proprietarymodificationsoftestedconstructions.Engineeringevaluationortestsarerecommendedforassessingmodificationsnotspecificallycoveredinthisguide.ThevaluesgiveninSIunitsareregardedasstandard.Thisguideisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
