【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforzinccoating(galvanizing)bythehot-dipprocessonironandsteelproductsmadefromrolledpressedandforgedshapes,castings,plates,bars,andstrips.1.2Thisspecificationcoversbothunfabricatedproductsandfabricatedproducts,forexample,assembledsteelproducts,structuralsteelfabrications,largetubesalreadybentorweldedbeforegalvanizing,andwireworkfabricatedfromuncoatedsteelwire.Thisspecificationalsocoverssteelforgingsandironcastingsincorporatedintopiecesfabricatedbeforegalvanizingorwhicharetoolargetobecentrifuged(orotherwisehandledtoremoveexcessgalvanizingbathmetal).Note18212;ThisspecificationcoversthoseproductspreviouslyaddressedinSpecificationsA123-78andA386-78.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytowire,pipe,tube,orsteelsheetwhichisgalvanizedonspecializedorcontinuouslines,ortosteellessthan22gage(0.0299in.)[0.76mm]thick.1.4Thegalvanizingofhardwareitemsthataretobecentrifugedorotherwisehandledtoremoveexcesszinc(suchasboltsandsimilarthreadedfasteners,castingsandrolled,pressedandforgeditems)shallbeinaccordancewithSpecificationA153/A153M.1.5Fabricatedreinforcingsteelbarassembliesarecoveredbythepresentspecification.ThegalvanizingofseparatereinforcingsteelbarsshallbeinaccordancewithSpecificationA767/A767M.1.6Thisspecificationisapplicabletoordersineitherinch-poundunits(asA123)orSIunits(asA123M).Inch-poundunitsandSIunitsarenotnecessarilyexactequivalents.Withinthetextofthisspecificationandwhereappropriate,SIunitsareshowninparentheses.Eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheotherwithoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.InthecaseofordersinSIunits,alltestingandinspectionshallbedoneusingthemetricequivalentofthetestorinspectionmethodasappropriate.InthecaseofordersinSIunits,suchshallbestatedtothegalvanizerwhentheorderisplaced.
